Composite art exhibition at Puri beach for environment awareness

Odisha's Puri beach hosted a unique exhibition of art forms with internationally acclaimed sand sculptor Sudarshan Patnaik and his troupe making the beach a complex of sculptures of marine turtles and dolphins made of sand and the American chalk painter Tracy Lee drawing arts that give the visitor a 3D impression.

This unique composite art exhibition has made it the biggest attraction in the Puri beach.

The artists engaging themselves in both the art forms and giving their ideas a shape through sand sculptures and chalk painting aimed at making the domestic and foreign tourists aware about the conservation of endangered Olive Ridley Sea turtles and the bottle-nose dolphin that are seen in the coasts of Odisha.

The Californian artist of USA has also been excited with the unique concept of campaigning for environmental protection through such composite art exhibitions.

The exhibition organised jointly by US Consulate in Hyderabad and Department of Tourism in Odisha not only aims at environmental protection but also for a healthy convergence of two different art forms and exchange of art and culture.
