Subhendu Mallick - a Snake Helpline Volunteer of Bhubaneswar hatched baby cobra snakes from 17 eggs in a domestic environment at his home. Hatched in a controlled environment, the cobra eggs started producing baby snakes in 45-47 days while it takes about 60 days in natural conditions. From the success in hatching the cobra eggs in a domestic environment, Subhendu hopes that this method can be applied in a larger scale to save the reptiles that are on the verge of extinction.
